Homework is so retarted. I’m in college and all it does is still get in the way! It’s been the same way since elementary school! Why assign something, knowing half the class isn’t going to do it, so their grade will suffer, a quarter of the people that did do it just BSed their way through it, so they have practiced it wrong (that’s my group when i actually do homework), and all that’s really doing is teaching them how to be better BS artists(I should know). Then, there is like half of the last group left, they just copied all their homework from the probably only 10% of the class that actually did their homework. So in the long run, all homework does is hurt majority of the class and help those, like, 4 over acheivers that no one likes anyway. Come on people! Let’s change all this crap! If all homework was voluntary bonus work, then those over acheivers would still get there high score grade or watever, the other kids could goof off and fail without the BS homework just adding to the list of causes for failure, and, admitt it, teachers would have a lot less work with the lack of extra papers to grade. With the lack of unnessecary extra paper used on homework, students wouldnt have to buy and waste so much paper. They would then be able to save their money and invest in other things causing them to be much more financialy stable. More importantly, though, they would be saving paper. All that paper used for homework (especialy math) is killing trees! The abscence of homework and the large amounts of paper unused would cause less trees to be killed. Trees and plants create oxygen, which we need to live! So everytime u do homework and use lots of paper u r killling trees and thus shortening our air suppliers. Soon there won’t be any air suppliers left because u decided to write an essay on them or graph functions all over them and none of that will matter becuase there will be no air left so we will all just die from lack of oxygen! (I’m pretty sure grades don’t matter when u r dead.) So think about it, while your doing homework and being praised for making those good grades, I’m failing and saving lives. So who’s the real hero that deserves the glory here?
